Orafti® Oligofructose from natural sources.

The functional fibre Oligofructose is an inulin-type fructan. After gently extracting Inulin from the chicory root, Oligofructose is derived from Inulin through partial enzymatic hydrolysis. The same transformation process naturally occurs in the chicory root towards the end of the harvest period. This makes Orafti® Oligofructose of 100% vegetable origin.
After enzymatic hydrolysis we further purify Orafti® Oligofructose in order to meet even the highest quality requirements, such as those for infant nutrition.

With at least 30-percent of the sweetness of sucrose, Orafti® Oligofructose does not only offer all the nutritional benefits of fibre. It can even add a mildly sweet taste to food and beverages. This makes it a natural sugar reducer and an ideal ingredient to reduce calories whilst increasing the fibre content in a product formulation.
With its natural sweetness profile, Orafti® Oligofructose is also often used in combination with high intensity sweeteners – to create a more balanced and sugar-like palate without any off-taste.

Easy implementation.

Orafti® Oligofructose is the most soluble dietary fibre in the world  - even more soluble than sucrose! This allows easy processing without requiring to adapt or change production processes.
Typical examples are cereal binding syrups and dairy fruit preparations.
