KNUTWILER Balanceline 
Balanceline is an innovative water with Edelweiss-extract. In intensive research work scientists from the swiss federal research institute AGROSCOPE Changins Wädenswil (ACW) managed to breed a new Edelweiss variety. The typical, since 1878 protected alpine Queen (Leontopodium alpinum) starts to flower in moderate heights. Helvetia is the name of this variety now flowering in the valleys. Edelweiss means power: Evolution has learned the robust wild plant to produce metabolites for its protection. These metabolites are antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory. Furthermore, the Edelweiss extracts act as radical scavenger and antioxidans protecting the skin. On behalf of the spa Bad Knutwil AG farmers of central Switzerland plant Helvetia Edelweiss in topografically different regions. The Edelweiss extracts are then incorporated in the new Balanceline beverage.
