Palatinose™ - an essential part of Stefan Schlegel's nutrition
BENEO's next generation carbohydrate Palatinose™ (isomaltulose) is an ideal carbohydrate for endurance sports, because it
- is the only low glycaemic carbohydrate that is fully digestible
- provides glucose over a longer period of time
- helps to improve fat oxidation during physical activity
Stefan Schlegel says about Palatinose™:
"Palatinose™ is my 'nutrition peer'. It is added to every drink and several foodstuffs that I use during my training and while racing as it helps to keep my energy supply on a constant level."
Additionally, he is convinced of the scientifically certified dental benefits of the functional carbohydrate: "I will amost continuously drink more than 20 litres a day during the race. Any cariogenic substances are a disadvantage."
